What Isn’t There Outdoor Video Installation
This past Thursday, May 22 2014 from 8pm – midnight we exhibited What Isn’t There, a completed video installation of the ongoing research-based project of sites of past Palestinian villages now in Israel. The exhibition was in partial fulfillment for Elle Flander’s degree of Doctorate of Philosophy from York University.
As we had just returned from a three-month ARTPORT Tel Aviv residency in Israel, the work culminated our continued exploration of that site. What Isn’t There has been almost 20 years in the making, and takes this newest form as an immersive film installation to be screened outdoors in downtown Toronto.
